This sculpture was created as a tribute to man's strength of spirit:
"From the ashes of conflict come the everlasting hope for peace". In 2012 it won the "Director's Award" for Sculpture Walk, Sioux Falls, SD; and in 2014 it won the "Bronze Award" at the Art Sculpture, Mankato, MN.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jerry and his wife, Gayle, have resided in Colville, WA since 1971 after obtaining his dental degree from the University of Washington and serving two years in the army. In 1994 he retired from dentistry in order to devote more time to his art career. His sculptures are noted for strong composition, power and movement, range in size from miniature to monumental, and reside in the permanent collections of museums, corporations, and communities. He has won many awards in juried art shows, including seven at the CM Russell show in Great Falls, MT and seven at the Western Art show in Ellensburg, WA.
